FarmMate is run by Tamalaki Business Network Ltd (the data controller), Uplands House, Eastern Bypass, Nairobi, Kenya. Contact: [email protected]. We follow the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019.

We collect your phone number and name to create your account, and the farm records you choose to enter, including farm locations and photos. We also keep sign-in and security records (device, IP address, time).

We use this information only to run FarmMate for you: keeping your records, signing you in, and sending you SMS codes and reminders you ask for.

Your farm records belong to you. We do not sell your information. We share it with a buyer, processor, cooperative or lender only if you agree first, each time.

People you invite to your farm can see that farm's records, according to the role you give them. Workers do not see phone numbers or money records.

Service providers: FarmMate is hosted by DigitalOcean on cloud servers that may be outside Kenya. SMS codes are sent by Twilio (USA). Maps and place search use OpenStreetMap and its Nominatim service, which receive the map area or search text, not your name or phone. Information sent outside Kenya is protected under contract and the safeguards required by the Act.

How long we keep it: farm records while your account is open. Sign-in codes 30 days. Old sign-in sessions 1 year after they end. Phone numbers in security logs are masked after 6 months. When you delete your account, it is removed (anonymised) after 30 days, and signing in during that time cancels the deletion.

You can see, download, correct or delete your information at any time in Settings, and withdraw this consent. Farm Owners can download all of a farm's records.

FarmMate is for adults (18 and over).
